It was Febuary of '07 when I first made contact with Jon. "We want to build a school in the Amazon," said Jon. "I want to go to the Amazon to help build your school for you," I said to him. I meant it.
It's what they call a marriage made in heaven, a company with a heart of gold meets a man with a heart of gold and a hammer. It took almost a year to start making the dream come true but finally it happened and I got on a plane for Buenas Aires, then a plane for São Paulo, then a plane for Belém, then a car for a hotel, the a car for the Amazon Frut offices, then a boat for Ilha Murutucu.
Then the fun began.
